Anxiety panic disorder is a growing phenomenon in the United States and elsewhere in the developing world. And it’s no wonder why if you take a look at the hard facts. Our societies have fundamentally changed.
These fundamental changes have occurred slowly since the Industrial Revolution and into our modern service economy lifestyles.
These changes include a radically different diet, radically different physical activity patterns, and very different social structures. When you combine all three you have the perfect recipe for mass anxiety disorders.
Here are a few ways ways which we live today that is very different that the way we used to live in the past. Number one, our diet is highly processed. Number two, physical activity has dropped off to almost zero for a majority.
And three, we live in a more isolated culture in which social ties and interactions are way down. This is not good for the development of feelings of security and ease. Often times people feel abandoned.
